The results of a truckload of stupid colliding with a table saw.

Ripping stackers from 1×3’s for our rough cut.  One second of taking my mind off of what I was doing resulted in a couple of stitches and an unpleasant reminder on shop safety.

I did experience two new things yesterday.  My first run in with the blade and a Jimmie John’s sandwich.  One really sucked.  It wasn’t the sandwich.

That is why I have always thought every table saw in the US should be equipped with one of these devices. Glad it wasn't more of your finger.

Me too Ed. I should have known better though. I've been preaching tool safety by the load with chaperoning our mission trip to Joplin and all the kids. Plus my wife was helping by running the chop saw and I was teaching her the safe way to operate it. Maybe she should learn from someone else.

OWWW! That looks very painful. My grandpa once caught his thumb in the table saw… was wearing gloves on a winter day… tore some of the meat off. He had to have it sewn to his chest, and then cut off later.

Damn Ron! Now that one made my skin crawl.
