No Ice Please

The forecast for the work week looks like a giant turd! The national weather service is saying we’re in for a significant accumulation of ice. I hate ice storms! I can deal with snow. You can move snow if you have to. Ice just sucks!

The fuel cans are full for the generator, wood stacked high and dry. A trip to the store after church for some odds and ends. We’ll be good to go. I can only hope they are so wrong.

The last ice storm we had left us without electricity for six days. Not a big deal, but we were ill prepared with our fireplace and uncovered wood pile. Since then we have replaced the fireplace with a woodstove and I have not had a wood pile at least partially covered since.

I hope everyone in the path of this forecast will be safe and warm.

I HATE ICE!!! Except in my glass of tea.

From the KY3 website: "The farther South you go… the more ice you'll see… and less snow accumulation."Time to stow the sleds and find some ice skates…Ron

Sounds yucky. Hopefully you won't lose electricity this time.

We ended up with about 4.5 inches of sleet and an additional 2 inches of a very fine snow on top of it. Now the winds are howling. Thank goodness we did not get the freezing rain.
