Wednesday night riding lessons turned into rodeo night. Katy took a fall from Stan during her lesson session resulting in an inch long gash to the side of her noggin. She meet up with Stan’s hoof on her way to the arena floor. Apparently she did everything that she had been taught to do correctly but sometimes horses will not do exactly what you tell them to. Thankfully she wasn’t hurt any worse than she was.

She did get back on before the lesson was over. She did inform me that at least she didn’t break her pelvis…smart ass at nine!

Theresa took her to the emergency room. They stapled the wound shut. Katy tells me that it didn’t hurt except for the doctor picking at her hair and poking around in it to clean it out.

I guess falling off horses is in the family. Glad she is ok and still has her sass about her.

I was bucked off a horse once. That was the last time I’ve ever ridden a horse. I still don’t miss it.
