Katys’ new boyfriend

Stan arrived at his new home Saturday afternoon. With a light rain falling we unloaded him and walked out to the pasture to turn him out in his new digs. He really seemed at ease with all the newness.

After Katy finally let go of Stan (he really likes his new little girl) he ventured out along the lake and meet up with my brothers Belgian mare Millie. After a little establishment of who is who between the two they settled in.

Katy is very, very anxious to get out riding. The whole morning was spent trying to settle her down. There is so much for all of us to learn together. Katy has really shown us that she is a determined little girl. I knew she was stubborn, she gets that from her mother.

I think the coolest part of the day was watching Jay (the previous owners father) as he let Stan go to his new home. He made certain that this was a good fit for all involved before the deal was done, but he was truly emotionally torn upon letting him go.

Millie was thrilled to have a new buddy to hang out with. She has been by herself for far too long. John tells me that a new Belgian is soon to be brought into the mix. I sure would enjoy seeing them work out as a team.
