Cool Pots

The firing was extremely successful. Only one broken piece, a good crock of beans and cornbread shared, and some new friends made.

I was given two really cool pieces. One nearly 20 inches tall for my assistance in a bath room project, and the other is a lidded pot with serrated scrapings on the upper half. Both the pieces are so nicely glazed.

I am so grateful to the potters.

We went to the park for a Fourth picnic of fried chicken, slaw and watermelon. Good company, bluegrass and fireworks. All were a great treat.

The fireworks were the best I have seen from this town.

We are working in the garden this morning. It’s really sticky today. Just a taste of what is yet to come for the rest of summer.
